UK politics appears in a state of  turmoil at present but its current machinations pale in comparison with the Machiavellian manoeuvres in 1940’s and 50’s  Argentina as told in the Joint Schools’ production of Evita. The School kindly gave us carte blanche to invite local OS and FOSS members to the dress rehearsal and we were delighted that well over 150 came to watch a class production of Rice and Lloyd-Webber’s musical. The lead parts of Eva, Juan Peron and Che Guevara were all superbly played and were admirably backed by the remaining cast. It proved a heart-warming to antidote to an otherwise dreary December day to see and hear Sherborne drama and music thriving so healthily.
