We are very proud to see three former pupils of Sherborne Boys, Sherborne Girls & Sherborne Prep featured in Professor Sumita Mukherjee’s new book, Imperial Footprints, in which she charts the history of emigration from British India through the eyes of pupils sent to English boarding schools.
The pupils featured are Prince Wasif Ali Mirza & Prince Nasir Ali Mirza, sons of the Nawab of Murshidabad, who attended Sherborne Prep School 1887-90; Rajkumari Amrit Kaur, granddaughter of the Raja Randhir Singh of Kapurthala, who attended Sherborne Girls’ 1902-05; and Mahmuduzzafar Khan Sahebzada who attended Sherborne Boys’ (School House) 1923-27.
