Marley’s Ghost: Charles Dickens’ visit to Sherborne

‘Marley was dead: to begin with.  There is no doubt whatever about that.’  So, began Charles Dickens’s reading at Sherborne’s Literary and Scientific Institution on Thursday, 21 December 1854.
