Bust of Alan Turing at Sherborne School

On 26 June 2021, a bronze bust of Alan Turing OBE, PhD, FRS (1912-1954) was unveiled at Sherborne School by Alan’s nephew Sir Dermot Turing. The bust is the work of acclaimed sculptor David Williams-Ellis whose recent work includes the D-Day sculpture at the British Normandy Memorial.

The bust stands at the heart of Sherborne School overlooked by the library where Alan Turing studied and joins a small, but growing, group of sculptures of Alan Turing that can be seen around the world.
